PLAY GOLF TO LEARN GOLF!

The title of a great book by Michael Hebron and a phrase I find important for many young golfers. The best place to train and improve your golf game is on the course, especially for competitive golfers. Join the RedWater Junior Development Tour this summer and get better and enjoy competitive golf more!

The Redwater Junior Development Tour is the best program to practice and prepare for junior golf tournaments. These 9-hole mock tournaments will give players a chance to feel the pressure of competing with friends while also getting on-site support from PGA Professional and Performance expert Zach Theut.

Coach Zach has been supporting competitive golfers from tour professionals to juniors for 10 years and has designed the Redwater Junior Development Tour to allow players the chance to compete and learn in a safe and engaging format.

Each mock tournament will be a unique on course challenge that will not only make tournament golf fresh and exciting but will also highlight important golf skills to learn such as focus, creativity, core golf shots, and hitting greens in regulation.

Any junior, ages 12-18 are welcome to join. We recommend all participants be able to complete nine-holes walking with a bag on their own. Pace of play for sessions will be under 2 hours and 30 minutes. All participants will be notified of their tee time 24-hours prior to event.

Each session will include warm-up golf balls, nine-holes of tournament-like golf and a reflection sheet to review the session on your own. Players will be able to connect with Coach Zach in warm-up and throughout the round. Coaches are also encouraged to come observe and support the players they work with while competing.

Different games give different results!

54HIKE - See how many holes you can complete in only 54 shots!

Each Junior Development Tour event will have players compete in fun on course challenges like ‘54HIKE.’ A game that prioritizes being aggressive and teaches players that every shot counts.

These unique challenges will provide players with new opportunities to problem solve while still testing their basic golf skills. Some of the skills highlighted throughout the season will be focus, hitting greens in regulation, tempo, distance control, creativity, etc.

Center of Greens - how low can you go if every time you hit a green in regulation you were only a flag length from the hole?

Learning skills like hitting more greens in regulation can happen on the golf course without changing your swing. Regardless of your skill level, you can learn to hit more greens if you prioritize it. Join the Junior Fall Series and play the game ‘Center of Greens’ and discover what it takes to improve your Greens in Regulation.
